Pagmulat sa Katotohanan,
Protektahan ang Kabataan.

When the value of the truth is forsaken, people get hurt. This campaign title draws from the need for the truth and the protection of children. We are always afraid to open our eyes because of what we might see - many children do not have this choice and we must choose to be brave for them. We must open our eyes to the truth of what the future will be if we do not address the issue of Online Sexual Abuse & Exploitation of Children. (OSAEC)

“The eyes chico,
they never lie.”

The main symbol of the campaign are eyes or illustrations of eyes. Often the eyes are where we see the truth behind the story and this is what the campaign hopes to evoke. That even if people may look “alright,” their eyes may tell another story hidden because of the pain.

Throughout all collaterals, imagery of eyes of people will be present. This acts as the main visual representation of the campaign, and as a somewhat common symbol, the key visuals can appeal to young people, and direct enough for older generations to comprehend.

Simple and bold illustrations will be accompanied by straightforward facts & text, which will be presented in simple statistics represented visually.

The aim is to simplify the topic as much as possible without taking away its integrity juxtaposed with hard facts on the issue and a call to action.

This video was created in collaboration with friends that were so kind to sumbit 3 second videos of their eyes to visually represent the statistics of young people affected by this issue. Researching and developing material for a dense and heavy topic must be done with care as to not take away the integrity of the issue, yet make it easy enough for individuals to digest and be aware of the need for action.
