RETASO

In 2016 my sister and I crafted a plan for a social enterpise that ran solely on upcycling textile waste. In 2019, it became a reality. RETASO, meaning remnant of fabric or textile waste in Filipino is a social enterprise dedicated to upcycling local textile waste. Our goal is to expand this initative to ultimatly rid of plastics used as packaging and create an avenue for circular business models.

We currently sell upcycled bags, and do specialized packaging for local businesses.
This is all made possible through partnerships with local businesses who donate their textile waste for us to turn into products, with our partners at Sunday Project that empower women seamstresses to craft our products ethically with care, and attention to detail. Its basically creating quality products out of material that the average person simply throws away.

I was able to come up with the over-all creative direction of the brand and the product shoots.
